Horseshoe Bend Sunrise Elopement // Page, AR
How early would you wake up for your bridals photoshoot? 4:00am? Would you drive all day across the state the day before to your destination. Or fly across multiple states to shoot it with your friend? Because that's what I did.
So here's the story about the craziest thing I've done for a photoshoot:
One of my awesome friends who lives in Utah, I live in Washington posted asking if anyone wanted to join her for the long car ride from SLC to Horseshoe Bend in Arizona. I had been dying to go there since I was in high school, so of course I had to do everything in my power to go on this trip. Luckily I had a long weekend at work so I got of work at 7 am after working the graveyard shift, drove to Seattle, hopped on a flight and met Jocelyn a couple hours later.
Shortly after that we were on our way to Arizona. We had so much fun screaming old songs from Disney channel and early 2000's jams, just having the time of our lives. I wouldn't trade those moments for anything. We arrived around 10:45, checked into the hotel, went and got some McDonald's and sang to some more music at the top of our lungs. Came back to the hotel, made sure everything was charged and ready to go for a sunrise shoot. Knocked out for 4 1/2 hours and then got up super early and headed to Horseshoe Bend. Even at 5 am there were already people there!! No doubt enjoying the beautiful moments right before sunrise.
The shoot was beautiful and everything I ever could've imagined. Jocelyn and I went and got breakfast then embarked on the long drive back to SLC, took a short nap and then I boarded a flight home to Seattle. Oh the things you can accomplish in a day if you put your mind to it.
